The very last release to come out on Squirrel Records, back in 2016. Pop Threat's "Scum" album, which was originally released (posthumously) on Mook Records in 2003. Here, in this version, it gets a slight spit n' polish treatment with a whole new mix. Also includes the original, rare Squirrel Records 7" recordings of four tracks that were later re-recorded for the album.

about

23 track collection of all the very best recordings by Pop Threat. Mostly taken from the handful of 7" single releases on Squirrel Records, as well as their one and only album, "Scum", which was released on Mook Records after the band split-up in early 2003, and was later remixed and re-issued by Squirrel Records in 2016. Most of Pop Threat's discography is long sold out and deleted, so the "Give Me The Sonic Kill : 1999 - 2003" compilation is a perfect way to discover the band for the first time - or just to be able to shelve those highly collectible vinyl records and have all their best tracks in one place.

about

Pop Threat Leeds, UK

Pop Threat were a rough around the edges band who burned brightly on the music scene of Leeds in the late 1990s to early 2003 - when they imploded on stage at The Moles Club in Bath. Lo-fi, ultra-fuzzy pop tunes combined with off-kilter compositions and a truckload of Velvet Underground inspired cool. Keep it raw, make it loud. No frills attached ! ... more
